Annual MainStreet CavernFest
Saturday, June 9, 2018 noon - 10:30 p.m. A city-wide celebration. Our downtown merchants will have sidewalk sales. MainStreet will be selling hamburgers and hot dogs and there will be food trucks selling yummy food. A great day for the whole family, bring blankets and chairs to the courthouse lawn, play cornhole, volleyball, toss a Frisbee, throw some footballs. Play in the jump houses, draw on the sidewalks, buy some handmade crafts. See local art, and shop in our historic downtown stores. Music by local bands will fill the street throughout the day. In the late afternoon, in to the evening, there will bands from all over the country. Vendor Rules and Applications Coming Soon
Summertime means fresh vegetables and you won’t find any fresher than those at the Carlsbad Downtown Farmer’s Market. Beginning Spring through Summer you’ll find fresh-picked goodness every Saturday morning on the Eddy County Courthouse lawn. Enjoy locally grown produce, handmade crafts, entertainment, and more! The Progressive Dinner Partnership Drive is intended to build cooperation and leadership in the business community and to create a positive image of Downtown Carlsbad as an exciting place to invest and do business. Participants will enjoy a three course meal at three different Downtown restaurants. The evening will include live music and a silent auction with items provided by Carlsbad’s Downtown merchants.
The Annual Electric Light Parade is one of Carlsbad’s premier events. Each year hundreds of people start their holidays off with the parade. We want you to be part of the fun. This years theme is Jingle Bell Rock.
The Annual Downtown Fall Festival will be held Oct. 31 from 4 - 6pm in downtown Carlsbad. This event is made possible by the participation of our dynamic downtown businesses sponsors. Join us Downtown for trick-or-treating and costume contest.
Carlsbad Museum & Art Center
Year Round Founded in 1931, the Carlsbad Museum and Art Center fulfills its mission as a cultural and educational institution through the collection, preservation, exhibition and interpretation of artifacts, documents and works of art relating to prehistory, history and aesthetic environment of the City of Carlsbad and the surrounding communities. The center is also the home to the Carlsbad Public Library and the Halagueno Arts Park.
